ScalaHosting Goes Social
It has been some years since ScalaHosting was founded. We have grown steadily during these years to go where we are at the moment. We have started our business in 2007 with just 2 dedicated servers leased from SoftLayer and at the moment we have more than 100 servers – all of them owned by us and hosted in our own cabinets, connected to our own network equipment, and fully managed by our staff.
During all those years, our best efforts were used to maintain a great quality of service while being competitive on the market and offering affordable prices. That is what made our business successful and that is what we are going to keep on doing in the future. Sounds simple? Yes, it as simple as that. If you manage to maintain quality in your business it will be successful. That is not too easy to be done though. We have always done our best to satisfy all our clients’ requests. In the last few months, we were getting a lot of suggestions to start a forum or a blog where we can communicate more with customers and customers to communicate with each other. We are not starting a forum yet but we are starting our company blog, Facebook and Twitter so that we can increase the communication with our clients. That is a key factor these days when everyone has a Facebook and Twitter account which makes communication easier.
We are creating our blog not only to increase communication but also to educate and inform our customers about a variety of aspects related to web hosting which will help them grow, get more customers, sell more, and earn more. We will be writing articles about subjects which are interesting for our customers so if you want to know more about a specific subject related to web hosting you can request it by commenting on this article. For example, you want to know why we do not offer unlimited disk space or unlimited bandwidth or you want to know the difference between the cheap hosting providers and those which maintain higher prices but better quality – just add your comment
in the fields at the end of this article because the idea of our blog is to be informative and useful for our clients. It is a fact that most of the web hosting customers (by most of them I mean over 90%) do not have in-depth technical and web hosting knowledge. Our blog’s target is to give them useful information that will educate them and make them feel comfortable in the web hosting industry. That will result in minimizing the mistakes while taking critical decisions that affect their business. We have taken a lot of decisions during our growth and we can help our clients by telling them what worked and what didn’t work. We want to share our knowledge because we know that if our clients start using our knowledge they will be successful and if only 1% of our clients become as successful as we are then we would become multiple times more successful. Makes sense? 🙂
We will also be using the blog to post coupon codes which you can use to get a discount or an additional service for free and to show you internal company operations described with pictures and videos e.g. how do we test new equipment, how do we install it, how do we rack servers. Probably, most of our clients have never seen that and many will be interested to find out the exact steps we take before their server goes live and they can use it to upload websites. Read our blog regularly to find out about blog specials before they expire. We think to run pretty nice specials such as renew now and get a free domain transfer or renew an existing service for a year and get the first 3 months for free for your new account. We will also add specials in different posts we add in the blog so that they are “hardcoded” somewhere within the article. In that way, only the customers reading the blog will understand about those coupon codes and actually have a chance to use them. We want to give more features and provide better value to the clients that want to learn and grow in the web hosting business by reading our blog. Fair enough, right? 🙂
Hurry to follow us on Twitter and Facebook if you want to be up to date with what is going on at Scala Hosting as we plan on adding many new services in the following months such as Windows servers, application hosting, red5 hosting, Shoutcast hosting, extending out affiliate program and also introducing new programs which will increase the value of the money spent with us. We will also have separate specials going on Facebook and Twitter so if you don’t have such accounts register now and save money with us because we want to interact with you more, get your feedback and use it to increase the quality of our services and overall customers’ satisfaction. We will try to make you communicate and share your ideas and feedback with us by all possible ways such as extra free services for the clients which interact most and provide useful ideas, special discounts for new services and renewals. In the end, we will not only have happy customers who get everything they need at Scala but we will have all our services fine-tuned for complete customer satisfaction.
That would be the end of our first blog post. We have covered what we plan to use the blog for in the future and we can’t wait to write our next article which will cover our future plans described in detail and how those plans will position you better on the web hosting market. What do you think? We will really appreciate if you share your opinion with us all by leaving a comment below!
